Independent Living, Inc.
is a non-profit organization governed by a revolving Board
of Directors. Independent Living, Inc. receives funds through
the Arkansas Department of Human Services (Medicaid), the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Arkansas
Rehabilitation Services.
Independent Living, Inc. also
depends upon the generous support of local community businesses,
organizations, and individuals. We engage in various fundraising
activities throughout the year, including the annual Crawdad
Days Beauty Pageant and our upcoming first-ever Chocolate
Lovers Festival in February 2008.
Additional funds are derived
from our cardboard recycling program, contracts with manufacturers
for piecework/assembly work and sales of items that are handcrafted
by individuals who attend our Employment Training Center,
such as baskets, soap, and solid wood furniture. To view those
